The 2011 season was another triumphant year for Ducati in the Superbike World Championship. Carlos Checa was in fact the first Spaniard to win the Riders’ world title in this championship.
Aboard the 1198 F11, Carlos Checa scored fifteen victories, guaranteeing Ducati another Constructors' title, the 17th in the history of the championship.
It was also thanks to the Althea Racing Team’s rider that Ducati achieved the milestone of three hundred victories in the championship.
