Desmosedici GP 07

Just four years after its return to the MotoGP championship, Ducati succeeded in the extraordinary feat of winning both the Manufacturers' and Riders' titles.

In 2007, MotoGP regulations reduced the maximum allowed displacement to 800 cc and Ducati responded with a new version of its Desmosedici.

The new project was also matched by a new rider: the young Australian Casey Stoner, in fact, joined Loris Capirossi to complete the official team riding the Desmosedici GP07.

In his first season with the Borgo Panigale-based manufacturer, Casey won ten races and obtained four more podiums, by giving him the points he needed to win the 2007 Riders' title and for Ducati to win its first MotoGP Manufacturers' Championship title. Capirossi added another success to his career with Ducati by winning the Japanese Grand Prix.
