Trellis frame

One of the cornerstones of Ducati technical evolution has been the trellis frame, introduced for the first time in 1979 on the Pantah 500.

Produced using steel tubes, this frame had the advantage of being lightweight but also stiff, thus ensuring real riding precision thanks to an agile, easy to handle bike.

All this made for a perfect blend of performance and rideability, which allowed Ducati to build motorcycles that were extremely fun to ride. From that moment, the trellis frame became one of the key elements of Ducati production.

In the museum, the trellis is represented as a constellation that metaphorically lights up the technical pathway traced by Ducati.
