750 Paso

The first Ducati designed by Massimo Tamburini.

Having established its strong Italian identity with the 750 F1, Ducati was ready to write another fundamental chapter in its history books. In 1986, Massimo Tamburini presented his first motorcycle for Ducati, the Paso 750, which marked a momentous turning point in many ways.

This was one of the first road bikes to adopt the full fairing and was also the model that definitively made red the official colour of the Ducati brand. Born in Rimini, Tamburini dedicated his life to motorcycle design, driven by a passion he had cultivated from a young age.

The Paso soon became a symbol of 1980s motorcycle design and signalled the Ducati brand’s arrival on the industrial design stage. Its flowing lines were further emphasised by the red colour scheme, which only added to the exclusive and appealing style.

The Paso name was a tribute to Renzo Pasolini, a very talented rider who was also born in Rimini.
