Customer ServicesAfter ten years of victories in the Superbike World Championship first with the 916 and then with its descendant, the 996, in 2003 Ducati presented the 999 which immediately monopolized the podium in the first race of the season with the Ducati Fila factory riders Neil Hodgson and Rubén Xaus.
Aboard his number 100 bike, the British Neil Hodgson won eleven of the first twelve races, thus conquering the 2003 Superbike World Champion title.
The 999 dominated the entire season and Hodgson scored two more victories and seven second places.
At the end of the season, the Briton drew a red line through the double zero of his race number, thus transforming the 100 used up to that moment into the world champion's number 1.
