An exciting race, fraught with expectations and as difficult as they come; particularly exacting on a most demanding track for rider, bike and tyres alike. Literally fought tooth and nail to conquer a third place, for which any calculations were impossible to make, at least not before the last lap. And this is clearly shown by the order of arrival, with six riders within seven tenths of a second.
Pecco continued to fight like a lion for first position, even taking risks where he could. Determined, quick-witted, fast and fearless: it was an exemplary performance in which he showed great mastery and maturity in securing the best possible result in such a tricky and crucial race for the championship standings. An opportunity that he seized with extreme lucidity at the most important moment of the championship: this makes for great joy. A fully deserved result that sees him as leader in the world championship. Bagnaia was the first in a string of no less than six Ducatis, a circumstance that always fills us with great satisfaction.
On this wonderful Sunday, Marco Bezzecchi also stands out, winning the title of best Rookie of the year. Thanks to this GP, and to the excellent results attained, he was able to earn himself some upgrades to his bike, in particular the fairings used by the official bikes during the first part of the season.
So sorry for Jack, who sees his long-awaited home race totally ruined through no fault of his own. In the early stages of the race he had shown the speed that would have served in achieving an excellent final result.
What else can be said... the dream continues as before, and as before we must prepare for the next challenge with the same indomitable spirit we have shown up to now. Ready to give our everything, as if nothing had changed, but with the same clear-mindedness in interpreting the race’s evolution.
