On a track on which our opponents promised to be particularly competitive, Enea's star shone, even brighter because it was longed for and deserved. A crowning weekend to be remembered, at last, a fabulous double between Saturday’s Sprint Race and the resounding MotoGP win on Sunday. Aggressive and irreverent, perfect in managing technical and competitive resources with determination and talent, he confirmed all his qualities and great preparation in the best possible way. He proved to have more than anyone else, and it showed: in the first stage of the race, thanks to an excellent qualifying session he was already up with the leaders, and the relentless pace he was able to impose, as well as his extraordinary comebacks, not only led him to lap faster than everyone else, but also to be ready when it was time to take the lead, and so it was. Amazing Enea!
As far as Martin was concerned, he rode a great race, knowing exactly what and how to do it, as well as how important it was to finish the race although at first trying to win it. Perhaps conditioned by the crash in Germany, nevertheless after this weekend he finds himself at the top of the World Championship chart, and that's that.
Even for Pecco, when somewhat waning, it was important to finish the GP, limiting the damage without taking unnecessary risks, aware that in the economy of a Championship this can make a difference, above all after the “zero” scored on Saturday. Yet, for as long as he could, he also vied for victory, leading half the race after a start in which he authoritatively asserted himself.
It was also an interlocutory weekend for Marc Marquez, who nevertheless scored an excellent fourth place after the vicissitudes of a complicated Friday and Saturday's crash.
Di Giannantonio came in with a rewarding 5th, a comeback race, stubborn and lively with exciting and awe-inspiring overtakes.
And we are only halfway through the championship... ready to start again in this captivating and exciting adventure, for us and for our opponents, all united in this splendid sport.
