Discover moreWithout doubt, a race dominated and managed by an absolutely inspired Martin, unstoppable on a track where he had already pulled off his incomparable Pole. Overpowering at the start, on Sunday he dominated from first to last lap, with disarming superiority, to the point that the other two positions of the podium became the immediate focus in a gripping succession of emotions and twists. Thus, after almost 4 months, he once again wins in the long race, this being very significant and a clear sign that this is happening at a stage of the season in which every point, so to speak, doubles its value.
An indomitable Pecco emerged well from this battle for the podium: he excelled by conquering a third spot in a race that proved very difficult indeed, decisively complicated by a few too many problems marring his start as well as the beginning laps of the race, and in which he lost important positions. Now, for us, getting to work on it without any further ado becomes imperative. He was able to limit the damage with a result that was not a foregone conclusion, literally torn 5 laps from the flag by fighting tooth and nail. He pitched everything he had into it, as a true champion knows how to do at the most critical moments, solely supported by his grit in a very stubborn comeback. Absolutely positive and ready for the final challenge!
After a great start, Enea’s beginning laps were also somewhat hesitant, with an evidently poorer performance than in the second part in which he was regaining one of the top positions with a fight for second place that bitterly ended in a slide with six laps to go, after perhaps chasing Acosta too enthusiastically. It ended badly but he fought valiantly, never satisfied and battling to the end, unfortunately losing precious points and today's podium.
With all this said and done, the great Ducati family has heard the loud and clear call of an immense Bautista who wrote another page in SBK history at Aragon: with Sunday's double he regains all his splendour, the wins now being 63, with 105 placings, something none of us has ever achieved. Applause and congratulations to Alvaro and Aruba.it Racing, as well as to an amazing Andrea Iannone, winner in Saturday's race, who was able to once again demonstrate his undisputed talent.
Come on, Ducati!
