Ducati 60

The first motorcycle.

Following the success of the Cucciolo, Ducati looked to the future and soon began producing its first complete motorcycle, the Ducati 60, at the Borgo Panigale factory.

A so-called lightweight motorcycle, which still looked more like a bicycle than a motorbike, it was powered by an evolution of the Cucciolo engine and could travel 100 km on one litre of fuel.

Weighing just 44 kg, the Ducati 60 was easy to ride and particularly comfortable. This also made it appealing to a female audience, who were able to use it to travel short distances in the city or countryside without having to depend on other forms of transportation.
