Discover moreSince 2011, the Fisica in Moto laboratory has organized a summer school of physics applied to motorcycles and reserved for 25 deserving students of second grade secondary schools. Organized by the Ducati Foundation in collaboration with the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UniMORE), the Summer School takes place at the Ducati headquarters in Borgo Panigale in July.
Participation is open to students who have reached the age of majority by the beginning of the course. Among all the applications received at fisicainmoto@ducati.com, the most deserving students will be selected (scholastic profit in Physics and Mathematics) and more motivated (as demonstrated in a video presentation letter) and capable in group work (referenced by the letter of presentation by the physics teacher).
During the Summer School students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in scientific research, working on their own experiment. Furthermore, they will be able to meet researchers and engineers who, during ad hoc seminars, will share their experiences in the world of work and academic research.
The Summer School program includes more than 20 hours of experimental research in teams, in-depth seminars on the bike, guided tours of the Ducati plant and museum and the DESI training centers (Dual Education System Italy).
The aim of the Summer School is to allow students who have already demonstrated scientific aptitudes to put themselves to the test in group work, pursuing their own original experimental research project and assisting them in their choice of university studies.
For more in-depth information, the Call for Participation can be viewed and downloaded below, while the application form must be filled out at the following link.
