Fast bike, slow food

A Diavel 1260 S for Massimo Bottura

Owner and chef of Osteria Francescana, a three-star Michelin restaurant in the heart of Modena, Bottura is a passionate motorcyclist who has chosen the excellence of Ducati and the innovative design of the Diavel 1260 S to express his love for riding.

The best choose the best. This is also the case for Massimo Bottura, whose Osteria Francescana restaurant was named best in the world in 2016 and 2018 by The World's 50 Best Restaurants. Born in Modena and proud of his Emilian roots, Bottura's DNA contains a visceral love for his homeland, an immense passion for motorcycles and for products truly Made in Italy that he always reinterprets in a contemporary key. All this led him to choose Ducati, with which he shares a bold style, meticulous research and the creative culture to design a bike that reflects his volcanic temperament.

A combination of innovative design, sophistication and strong character

Starting with the new Diavel 1260 S, the Ducati Style Centre created a customisation with details scrupulously chosen by the chef himself: an all-black frame, a flaming red tank with the words "Lady Day" (one of Massimo's favourite songs), carbon accessories and a Ducati Performance exhaust.

Unique and distinctive, as his cuisine

But as with every dish he serves, for his bike Massimo Bottura wanted unique, distinctive details: a seat that bears his signature and three Michelin stars shining on the underseat and on the plate. At Casa Maria Luigia, the new guest house opened by the Chef in the Modena countryside where he grew up, Bottura was immortalised with his custom Diavel 1260 S.
