XDiavel V4 means Ducati DNA applied to the sport cruiser concept. A bike for those who want something different from all the rest, able to combine riding excitement with sophisticated technology and unmistakable Italian style. The relaxed and comfortable feet-forward riding position combines with the thrill of the Granturismo V4, which offers similar torque to that of a twin.

Unmistakable silhouette: muscular and uncompromising.

The new XDiavel is the combination of the unmistakable and bold XDiavel essence with the masterpiece of the V4 technical base. The iconic and recognizable silhouette of the Ducati sport cruiser has been reinterpreted in a modern key.

The bike is a perfect balance of contrasts: the elegantly sculpted upper section is combined with the brutal mechanical base underneath. The sculptural steel fuel tank, muscular and smooth, combines with the redesigned comfort seat to create an unmistakable flyline. 

The low, compact tail with its cast aluminum frame integrates a Light Blade technology tail light.

Two new colour schemes dedicated to XDiavel V4: Burning Red & Black Lava

For the first time, the XDiavel V4 is available in two colours, Burning Red and Black Lava, both metallic, which make it even more unique and whose names, which recall fire, underline the emotions awakened by this bike. For the first time, the XDiavel is offered in red, but a different red from the iconic Ducati Red and the brilliant Racing Red. Black Lava, on the other hand, enriches the classic glossy black typical of the cruiser world with warm tones that reflect the unique, complex and sophisticated personality of the XDiavel V4.

The inspiration behind the design

Iconic teardrop tank

The lines of XDiavel V4 play with the strong contrast between the sophisticated superstructures, in the upper section, and the distinctive impact of the mechanics that characterise the lower section. The teardrop shape of the tank makes for curves that transmit energy and elegance.

Sound and style: the XDiavel V4 exhaust

An audacious line, the aesthetic and technical brilliance of which is highlighted by the four-exit exhaust, on proud display. A great deal of work has gone into the sound quality. Together with the dedicated exhaust system, the Twin Pulse firing order of the V4 Granturismo produces that classic Ducati timbre.

Distinctive light signature

The signature full-LED front and rear headlamps and dynamic turn signals integrated into the side panels unmistakably contribute to the XDiavel V4's aesthetic appeal. The front DRL, with its double-C profile, catalyzes attention in a play of contrasts with the headlamp's internal texturing. Together with the rear light cluster, positioned under the tail, it welcomes the rider through the Welcome Effect when the ignition is turned on, emphasizing the sophistication and attention to every detail of the XDiavel.

Five-spoke rims inspired by muscle cars

The star aluminum wheels with machined spokes are inspired by the world of American muscle tire and convey an image of power combined with visual lightness. The rear rim is equipped with the impressive 240/45 Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tire and is left exposed and enhanced by the aluminum single-sided swingarm, another technical and stylistic element deeply linked to Ducati's aesthetic canons.

V4 Granturismo with dedicated glossy black finish

The heart of performance, but also a key design element, the XDiavel V4 Granturismo is the only Ducati engine to flaunt a glossy surface finish. Its presence is highlighted by the cover with “V4” logo on the rear cylinders, which emphasise the technical uniqueness of XDiavel in the segment, while the cast aluminium subframe has a complex structure that accentuates the sense of movement side-on.

At the heart of it all, the V4 Granturismo

The beating heart of the new Ducati XDiavel V4 is the V4 Granturismo engine, born of Ducati's MotoGP experience. Powerful, torque-rich and incredibly smooth, it is light and compact, offering exhilarating performance and a linear delivery suited to every riding style. An engineering masterpiece made unique to the XDiavel V4 by its unique polished finish, which turns it into a design element.
V4 Granturismo for the first time on XDiavel

XDiavel benefits from the balance of the V4 Granturismo for the first time. Smooth at low revs, it is ideal for urban riding but boasts incredible power on the open road. With a twist of the throttle, the V4 engine delivers similar torque to its twin predecessor, but greater power. There is nothing like it on the road for riders who seek comfort, exciting performance and Ducati style.

The reduced weight of this engine significantly contributes to the bike’s 6 kg weight saving with respect to the previous model.

Unmistakable sound

A great deal of work has gone into the engine sound. The Twin Pulse firing order of the V4 Granturismo, together with the dedicated exhaust system with its classic Ducati timbre, results in a variation in exhaust tone when switching from one mode to the other. A deeper sound, with lower frequencies, when only the two front cylinders are activated, or higher frequences when all four cylinders are in operation.

Counter-rotating crankshaft

The V4 Granturismo is equipped with a counter-rotating crankshaft, technology derived from Ducati experience in MotoGP. This innovation “counters” the gyroscopic inertia of the wheels, improving handling and riding precision.

Smooth delivery at low rpm and electrifying torque

The V4 Granturismo guarantees smooth delivery at low rpm and exciting torque at the top end. The exhilarating performance of the V4 Granturismo engine equates to 168 hp (123.6 kW) at 10,750 rpm and 126 Nm (12.8 kgm) at 7500 rpm, with a particularly linear torque curve.

Perfect for riding in the city, and with incredible power on the open road. When you open the throttle, the V4 engine delivers similar torque to its V-twin predecessor, but greater power. There is nothing similar on the road for riders who seek something comfortable, with exciting performance and Ducati style.

The first bike with V4 Granturismo to be equipped with Ducati Quick Shift 2.0

XDiavel V4 is the first bike equipped with the V4 Granturismo engine to come complete with DQS (Ducati Quick Shift) 2.0 derived from the Panigale V4. The system, which allows the rider to shift up and down without using the clutch, evolves with respect to the previous version thanks to significant mechanical updates to the control pedal, which sees the traditional lever with Hall-effect microswitch swapped for a direct mechanical lever.

Deactivation of the rear bank for reduced consumption

This feature deactivates the engine’s rear cylinders, acting both when stationary with engine on, at traffic lights for example, and when travelling at low speed in particular conditions, to reduce consumption. As the speed increases, or as soon as the throttle demands a certain level of torque, the rear cylinders reactivate, ensuring all the character and performance of the V4 Granturismo.

Longer service intervals and reduced maintenance costs

The V4 Granturismo also has a positive impact on maintenance costs, which are reduced thanks to extremely long service intervals. An oil change is required every 15,000 kilometres or two years, while the valve clearance check is every 60,000 kilometres.

The new XDiavel V4 is built to amaze, conceived to command the road, and designed for maximum ride enjoyment. It combines the essence of a cruiser with Ducati sports DNA, for an agile bike that is easy to handle and ensures increased comfort. With advanced suspension and brakes, it promises a safe and precise ride that adapts to every style and situation.
A new ergonomic triangle for better handling.

With forward footpegs and a wide handlebar, the ergonomic triangle has been improved on this latest generation XDiavel. 

XDiavel V4 is even more enjoyable to ride thanks to a handlebar that is lower and positioned further back, and a rear wheel that offers 25 mm more travel with respect to the first generation.

The result is a bike that is surprisingly easy to handle and agile in all riding conditions, despite the dimensions of the rear wheel.

Reduced weight for greater agility

Weighing in at 229 kg, XDiavel V4 sets the benchmark in its segment. It is 6 kg lighter than the XDiavel 1260 thanks to components such as the lightweight aluminium monocoque frame and V4 Granturismo engine. This ensures greater agility, particularly during low-speed manoeuvres.

Redesigned seat for heightened comfort

770 mm from the ground, the spoon-shaped seat typical of a cruiser is made more comfortable with an extra 54 mm of foam compared to previous generation.

Accessories include the Comfort seat complete with thicker foam (+15 mm) and a redesigned rear section. As well as being roomier to accommodate different builds, the Comfort seat is also enhanced with premium upholstery. The passenger seat is removable and can be replaced with a tail section for those who prefer the single-seat aesthetic.

More spacious and comfortable passenger seat

Passenger comfort improves with a wider seat (+30% in width, +50% in longitudinal roominess) and with greater thickness (+25 mm) of foam on the side areas. The rear handle, delivered with the bike, can be easily mounted on the tail to provide the passenger with more comfort for longer trips.

Fully adjustable suspension

The fully adjustable suspension on the XDiavel V4 consists of a 50 mm USD fork (with adjustment of the compression and preload on the left stanchion and rebound on the right stanchion) and a shock with separate reservoir. Wheel travel is 120 mm at the front and 145 mm at the rear, 25 mm more than the XDiavel 1260 for increased rider and passenger comfort.

Brembo brakes: precision and high performance

At the front, the braking performance of the XDiavel V4 is guaranteed by Brembo brakes with Stylema® radial monobloc callipers activated by a PR16/19 radial master cylinder with integrated aluminium reservoir that acts on two 330 mm floating discs. At the rear, the 265 mm disc is served by a two-piston calliper, also by Brembo.

An imposing rear: 240/45 tyre

XDiavel V4 mounts five-spoke rims featuring an exclusive design with machined surfaces. At the front, the rim is 3.5“ x 17”, while at the rear is mounted an eye-catching 8.0“ x 17” rim with concave edges. The size of the rear tyre left exposed by the single arm is impressive: in fact, it mounts 240/45 ZR17 Pirelli Diablo Rosso III.

“Techno Cruiser” advanced technology for a new riding experience.

The new XDiavel V4 comes complete with a cutting-edge electronics package to maximise the riding pleasure. From the new TFT display to the riding modes, every detail is designed to offer control, safety and a customisable riding experience wherever you go.
New 6.9” colour TFT display with 8:3 aspect ratio

XDiavel V4 uses the same 6.9” colour full-TFT instrument with 8:3 aspect ratio and glued glass with optical bonding technology as the new Panigale V4. The dashboard offers a dedicated version of Road Info Mode, specifically redesigned to suit the cruiser world, more sophisticated and less sports oriented.

Hands Free ignition

XDiavel V4 is equipped with the Hands-Free system for key-free ignition. Just move close to the bike with the electronic key in your pocket. At a distance of about 1.5 m, the bike will recognize the key code to allow ignition. At this point simply press the key-on button to turn on the display and start the engine. The system also involves an electronic actuator for the steering lock.

Cruise control

Cruise Control makes for more relaxing motorway trips. Activation is visible on the dashboard and the system can also be deactivated by twisting the throttle grip forwards.

4 Riding Mode: Sport, Touring, Urban and Wet

XDiavel V4 offers three Power Mode and four Riding Mode: Sport, Touring, Urban and Wet, thanks to which the rider can adapt engine delivery and riding assistance systems intervention.

Sport Riding Mode

The V4 Granturismo, with this Riding Mode, unleashes its full 168 hp with a direct, spirited response. Ducati Traction Control and Ducati Wheelie Control invention is reduced to a minimum and the ABS, set to level 2, allows for controlled lifting of the rear wheel in order to maximize braking performance, while retaining the Cornering function. The ideal choice for expert riders who want to really enjoy the performance of the XDiavel V4.

Touring Riding Mode

In Touring Riding Mode, the XDiavel V4 still unleashes its full 168 hp but delivery is smoother and more progressive. Higher DTC and DWC intervention levels make for greater controllability of the vehicle. The ABS is set to level 3, the safest and most prudential thanks to rear-wheel lift detection, optimisation of the combined braking, and the active Cornering function.

Urban Riding Mode

In Urban Riding Mode power output is reduced to a maximum of 115 hp (Low Power Mode) with a particularly gentle and progressive response. DTC and DWC are set to high levels, while ABS is set to level 3.

Wet Riding Mode

Wet Riding Mode is designed for riding on low grip surfaces, or in the wet. This mode limits maximum power to 115 hp with a particularly gentle throttle response (Low Power Mode). The predefined level of the electronic controls is set to offer maximum safety, ensuring the best possible traction and stability.

3 Power Modes associated with the riding modes: High, Medium, Low.

Each Riding Mode is associated with one of three Power Modes: High, Medium, Low. 

The High and Medium Power Modes both allow the V4 Granturismo engine to unleash its full power, or rather 168 hp at 10,750 rpm, with maximum torque of 126 Nm at 7500 rpm, but with different calibration of the Ride by Wire maps. High Power Mode, associated in terms of its predefined values with the Sport Riding Mode, is designed for sports riding and offers a direct and spirited throttle response. Medium Power Mode, attributed by default to the Touring Riding Mode, is characterised by a smoother and more progressive engine response to the rider’s demand for torque.

Low Power Mode, associated by default with the Urban and Wet Riding Modes, is designed for riding on low grip surfaces, limiting the bike’s maximum power to 115 hp at 8750 rpm and maximum torque to 114 Nm at 5750 rpm, and offering a particularly manageable throttle response.

Ducati Multimedia System and Turn-by-Turn navigation

The Ducati Multimedia System is standard equipment on the XDiavel V4 and allows the rider to connect their smartphone via Bluetooth for calls, SMS, and music or use the Turn-by-Turn navigation system (available as an accessory) via Ducati Link App.
