The new Multistrada V2 stems from a total reinterpretation of the crossover, concept, with a design that transmits dynamism and lightness. Every detail has been revised, for a bike that stands out not just for its aesthetic but also for the perfect integration of functionality and style.
Multistrada Family Feeling: the evolution of a tradition

The new Multistrada V2 is directly inspired by the history of the Multistrada family, embodying the perfect balance of performance and comfort for which the series has always stood out. Distinctive traits, like the high shoulders and front-end mass, are combined with the iconic Ducati beak, making the new V2 immediately recognizable as a part of this tradition. From the compact form of the headlight to the innovative aerodynamics, every aspect of the design has been carefully considered to improve the rider comfort, handling and protection.

Front light set

The LED front light set offers greater visibility thanks to the new headlight and distinctive DRL. Inspired by the Multistrada V4 and the new Panigale, this design does not only improve the lighting but adds a more aggressive and dynamic touch to the front end.

Rear light set

The rear lights of the new Multistrada V2 are designed to guarantee maximum visibility and safety, with a compact, modern design. LED technology ensures a rapid and clear response, improving visibility in cases of poor lighting or sudden braking. 

Integrated indicators

The indicators integrated in the side fairings offer a clean and smooth design, without compromising the bike’s aesthetics. This solution does not only add to the appearance of the Multistrada V2, but also optimises the visibility, safety and thermal comfort, thanks to the introduction of an air channel between the indicator and fairing.

Integrated air deflectors and Upwash

The aerodynamic deflectors on the new V2 integrate perfectly into the design, improving the bike’s aesthetics and functionality. Positioned on the front end, in continuity with the painted section, the deflectors significantly boost aerodynamic comfort, extending protection to the shoulders. The (upwash) conveyors direct fresh air to the rider’s leg area, effectively dissipating engine heat and improving thermal comfort.

Balanced shapes

The design of the new Multistrada V2 adopts the typical family proportions, with a balanced, horizontal volume that gives the bike a solid, dynamic look. Narrower and more compact in the tail section, the silhouette ensures a more aggressive front end, with sports lines that project the bike forward, transmitting power and agility.

New V2 engine

The new V2 engine is the lightest twin-cylinder that Ducati has ever produced. Its lightness significantly contributes to the reduction in overall weight of the Multistrada V2, to the benefit of handling and riding comfort.
Smooth at low rpm

The addition of a larger flywheel heightens the smoothness at low revs, making for even more enjoyable riding during transition phases, like when exiting a turn or in urban traffic.

Always available torque

Thanks to variable valve timing technology, the engine of the new Multistrada V2 provides an especially full-bodied torque curve in the low and mid-range, which benefits riding pleasure without compromising the thrilling performance typical of every Ducati in the high rpm range.

Reduced consumption

Thanks to variable timing technology, the Multistrada V2 engine ensures a reduction in consumption of up to 7% compared with the previous generation as well as a reduction in maintenance costs. Every trip becomes more sustainable, with reduced emissions and greater autonomy, while never compromising on performance. 

Dedicated gear ratio

The new Multistrada V2 is equipped with a dedicated gear ratio: a short first gear for greater agility at low speeds and a long sixth gear to reduce consumption and heighten comfort when travelling on the motorway. 

Ducati Quick Shift 2.0

The new Ducati Quick Shift 2.0 uses a sensor positioned directly on the gear drum, for an immediate connection between pedal and transmission. The result is more precise feeling and rapid shifting, for a better overall riding experience.

35kw version

In line with the inclusivity of the Ducati range, the new Multistrada V2 is also available as a restricted 35kw version for models aimed at A2 licence holders, with a €1000 reduction on the list price.   

Completely new chassis.

The new Multistrada V2 is designed to offer an even safer and more engaging riding experience. With the new aluminium monocoque frame, double-sided swingarm and trellis subframe, the bike perfectly balances lightness, precision and handling.
Mechanical base

Combined with the wheel size, the neutral geometry offers the ideal balance of stability and agility. This design is designed to reduce effort at the handlebar and improve bike control. The neutrality of the geometry makes the bike intuitive and easy to manage through the turns, with a smooth and natural response with no need to push to hold the line.

New monocoque frame

Optimised chassis rigidity promotes cornering stability and precise control, offering a more responsive and safer riding experience. It contributes significantly to reducing the bike's overall weight to 199 kg in the standard version. 

Double-sided swingarm

Its stiff, lightweight structure contributes to the bike’s stability, improving dynamic behaviour and reducing the overall weight. This solution ensures an excellent response.

Rear subframe

The steel trellis rear frame integrates perfectly with the rest of the frame. It offers strength and resistance, while maintaining a light structure. Its design also allows easy management of the seat position, now adjustable in two heights, further improving usability and versatility. Its geometry also favours a narrow fit, improving rider comfort and facilitating the contact of the feet with the ground.

Reduced weight

The new Multistrada V2 weighs an impressive 18 kg less than the previous model, the result of an effective design strategy on every component. Aside from cutting the overall weight, this solution allows for a particularly snug fit in the seat, improving the ease with which the rider reaches the ground with their feet.  

Seat adjustable to two heights

Ergonomics are optimized with the possibility to adjust the seat to a standard height of either 850 mm or 830 mm. And to ensure even easier access, accessory seats and suspension lowering kit can further reduce the height to 790 mm. 

Neutral geometry

The neutral geometry of the new Multistrada V2 is the result of an effective design strategy that balances agility and stability to offer an intuitive and safe riding experience. Thanks to this configuration, the bike responds naturally to the rider’s requests, entering the turn eith ease, holding the trajectory without corrective action, and ensuring heightened stability even at high speed. The frame design, steering angle and suspension, combined with a 19” front wheel and 17” rear, contribute to reducing effort at the handlebar and maximizing control, both on winding roads and over long range. 

Improved thermal comfort

Thanks to effective air flow management, the new Multistrada V2 guarantees greater thermal comfort. The integrated air ducts direct fresh air to rider’s leg and tibia area, reducing the perception of heat coming from the engine and heightening the riding pleasure. 

Suspension
The 45 mm front fork and single shock with 170 mm of front and rear travel ensure excellent stress absorption. In the standard version, suspension is mechanical and fully adjustable, while on the Multistrada V2 S it is electronic and complete with Ducati Skyhook Suspension, adapting easily to different riding conditions. Independent of the Riding Modes, the Suspension Modes allow the suspension to be adjusted according to rider preference and the chosen route, without modifying the selected riding mode.
Braking system
The Brembo system is equipped with a pair of 320 mm discs at the front and a single 265 mm disc at the rear, for a prompt and safe response. Thanks to the combination of balanced braking and precise operations, the bike remains very stable even in challenging riding conditions. The braking power pairs perfectly with the suspension performance, allowing the rider to control the bike with precision even in more demanding conditions.

Five Riding Mode

Sport Riding Mode

The best for road-going performance. In this mode, the new Multistrada V2 delivers the full 115 hp with a direct, spirited response, managed with a Skyhook sports suspension set-up on the S version. Ducati Traction Control and Ducati Wheelie Control invention are reduced to a minimum and the ABS, set to level 2, allows for controlled lifting of the rear wheel to maximize braking performance, while retaining the Cornering function. The ideal choice for expert riders who want to fully exploit the motorcycle’s potential.

Touring Riding Mode

In Touring Riding Mode, the Ducati Multistrada V2 unleashes its full 115 hp but delivery is smoother and more progressive. Higher DTC and DWC intervention levels satisfy the needs of touring use. The ABS is set to level 3, the safest and most prudential thanks to rear-wheel lift detection. On the S version, the suspension setting is specifically calibrated for long-range travel, ensuring maximum rider and passenger comfort. 

Urban Riding Mode

In Urban Riding Mode power output is reduced to a maximum of 95 hp with a particularly gentle and progressive response (Low Engine Mode), while in the S version, the suspension setting adapts to urban obstacles such as speed bumps, potholes and manhole covers, effectively managing the continuous changes in surface. DTC and DWC are set to high levels, while ABS is set to level 3.

Enduro Riding Mode

The Enduro Riding Mode allows the new Multistrada V2 to make the most of its off-road potential. This Riding Mode limits engine power to 95 hp with a dedicated Engine Mode (Offroad), for a more dynamic and direct response with respect to Urban Mode, despite equal power. On the S version, this mode also sets up the electronics suspension for dedicated off-road use. The DTC and DWC systems are set to the specific off-road level, while the ABS is set at level 1, suitable for off-road use on low grip terrain. In this case, Cornering ABS functionality, and rear wheel intervention are all disabled. 

New Wet Riding Mode

The new Wet Riding Mode is designed for riding in the wet. This mode limits maximum power to 95 hp with a particularly gentle throttle response (Low Power Mode). The predefined level of the electronic controls is set to offer maximum safety in wet conditions.

Skyhook suspension

With its numerous configuration combinations, the exclusive Ducati Skyhook semi-active suspension system on the S version allows the riding experience to be customised based on a specific route and riding style. The advantage of electronic suspension lies in the possibility to change the bike’s behaviour in a matter of seconds and identify the ideal configuration for every type of use. 

Minimum Preload

Thanks to the Minimum Preload function, the rider can choose to “lower” the bike in stops and low-speed riding, thanks to a dedicated button, bringing the preload of the shock absorber down to a minimum to make it easier for the feet to contact the ground. 

New handlebar controls

The handlebar controls on the new Multistrada V2 are designed to ensure easy, intuitive access to all the bike’s main functions. Ergonomically positioned, these allow for management of the Riding Modes, Suspension Modes, Cruise Control and Turn-by-Turn navigation with a simple action, heightening both comfort and safety. The optimized design and clear tactile feedback allow for rapid and precise control, even when riding with gloves, without distracting the rider from the road.

USB port

Integrated into the instrument panel, the USB port allows you to charge electronic devices such as a smartphone or GPS system while travelling. A simple but useful tool, which adds practicality during long-range trips and busy days. 

Coming Home function

The Coming Home function ensures the front lights stay on for 30 seconds once the bike is switched off, serving as a courtesy light. This function is especially useful when parking in poorly lit areas, facilitating dismount and ensuring visibility in the surrounding area, improving safety also once you reach your destination.

Turn by turn navigation

Available via the Ducati Multimedia System (as standard on the S version), the Turn-by-Turn navigation system (accessory) guides you to your destination, step by step, directly on the bike’s display. Thanks to clear and precise indications, you can focus on the road without worrying about distractions or getting lost.

"Travel" trim (S version only)

The Multistrada V2 S is available with the Travel trim, which includes plastic side cases, centre stand and heated handgrips.

"Urban" accessory package

The Urban package is ideal for those who ride mainly in the city. It includes a practical tank bag and Tanklock flange for the safe storage of items, as well as a plastic top case for the handy transportation of personal effects. This package is functional and practical, not to mention stylish.
