Alvaro Bautista

Born on November 21, 1984, in Talavera de la Reina (Spain) – he has been competing in world championship racing since 2002 and was crowned 125cc GP World Champion in 2006. From there, he moved up into the 250cc GP Championship for three seasons, before making the step into the premier class in 2010. After a sixteen-year career in the MotoGP paddock, he has landed in Superbike in 2019 to defend the colours of the Aruba.it Racing - Ducati team. In his debut season, Bautista got 16 wins and seven podiums, and finished second in the final World Championship standings. After two years with Honda, with whom he finished on the podium three times, Bautista returns onboard the Aruba.it Racing - Ducati PanigaleV4R. The 2023 season was a triumphant one for the Spanish rider, who conquered 16 victories, climbing onto the podium 31 times to become WorldSBK World Champion at the end of Race 2 of the Indonesian Round.

In the 2024 season Alvaro Bautista breaks all records and becomes Superbike World Champion for the second time. The Spanish rider takes 27 victories with 31 total podiums, becoming the rider with the most wins (59) in Ducati's WorldSBK history, ahead of legends like Fogarty (56 wins) and Bayliss (55).
