Kyle Wyman looking to build momentum in Pittsburgh

The MotoAmerica Superbike Championship heads north to the picturesque Pittsburgh International Race Complex for round four of the 2020 series with KATO Fastening/KWR Ducati Team’s Kyle Wyman looking to build momentum after a solid sixth place in race two at the previous round at Road Atlanta.

Wyman and the Ducati Panigale V4 R endured a rough start to round three but showed his and the team’s tenacity by refusing to let crashes and mechanical issues get them down, claiming 10 vital championship points for sixth to lie fifth in the series to date.

Pittsburgh is a track Wyman knows well, the Arizona resident having sealed a close fifth place there last year after a race-long battle with Toni Elias.

“This week should be the opposite of Atlanta, because in Atlanta we didn’t have any data whereas with this track we have more data than anywhere else in the country, so I feel like we should be able to come out swinging on Friday,” said Wyman. “We are still running the stock motor that we had to fit for race two in Atlanta, but it shouldn’t be as much of an issue because there’s no long straights at Pittsburgh, so we should be in the hunt for a podium.”
