Ducati wins the prestigious “Red Dot: Best of the Best” award with the Diavel V4

Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), May 22, 2024—The Ducati Diavel V4 has been awarded “Best of the Best” in the Product Design category at the 2024 Red Dot Awards. This recognition celebrates excellence in design each year and highlights the uniqueness and brand awareness that characterize the motorcycles designed and created in Borgo Panigale.

Founded in 1955, the Red Dot Award celebrates the most original and deserving designs for style and innovation. The award is given by a jury of experts in product design, communication design, and design concepts, who this year gave the Diavel V4 the "Red Dot Award 2024: Best of the Best" award, the highest recognition of the competition, reserved exclusively for creations capable of setting a new standard.

This award represents the latest in a series of successes recognized for Ducati design. The same award was, in fact, obtained by the 1199 Panigale in 2013, the XDiavel in 2016, and the Diavel 1260 in 2019, demonstrating how a Ducati motorcycle can combine style, sophistication, and performance in an unmistakable way.

With its refined style and muscular and elegant lines, with masses visually concentrated on the front and an agile and slender rear, with fine details such as the footrests and the retractable passenger handle, the Diavel V4 stands out as an authentic style icon in the motorcycle design scene. The V4 Granturismo engine is a distinctive element both for the style and for the performance of this motorcycle, whose bold aesthetics are enhanced by unmistakable elements, such as the spectacular light clusters, the imposing 240 mm wide rear tire with five spokes, and the visible four-way silencer.

Almost two years after its presentation, the Diavel V4 has obtained recognition from the most authoritative institutions in the field of design and the international press. Among the recognitions, the prestigious Good Design® Award, the oldest global recognition in the design sector, and the Special Mention at the German Design Award 2024, assigned by the German Design Council, both stand out.

The 2024 Red Dot Award ceremony will be held on June 24th in Germany at the Aalto Theatre in Essen. The award winners will be exhibited in the Red Dot Museum in Zollverein, also located in Essen and now part of the UNESCO World Heritage.
