“Choose your style. Be unique.”: a streetwear look and total versatility for the new Ducati Overlay collection

 

Ducati presents a new lifestyle collection with the Overlay capsule, an innovative modular line of apparel capable of expressing a unique balance between a sporty soul, the exclusivity of the brand and the coolest streetwear trends.

“Choose your style. Be unique.” is the essence of the new collection, designed to allow enthusiasts to express their personality through unique and versatile combinations.

Born from an idea by Drudi Performance – an Italian design studio created by Aldo Drudi, and which has collaborated with the best brands and champions of world motorsport – Overlay brings the Ducati values ​​of Style, Sophistication and Performance to the vibrant universe of lifestyle clothing. All this while maintaining the essential quality for the Borgo Panigale brand, thanks to the collaboration with Spidi Sport – Italian excellence and a historic brand in the industry of technical and protective clothing for motorcyclists.

The new line consists of three layers: the outer jacket, available in three variants (YO, Y4T and YB), the intermediate sweatshirt in soft softshell (L01) and the protective layer P01. Each piece can be combined or worn individually, offering a total of 15 different configurations adapting to different tastes and needs allowing everyone to express the uniqueness of their style.   

Innovation and style Overlay YO, Y4T e YB
The Overlay jackets, available in the YO, Y4T and YB models, express a synthesis of style and functionality, and represent the heart of this capsule collection. Garments that go beyond pure technical clothing, establishing themselves in the streetwear world. The common thread between YO, Y4T and YB is immediately evident: the large areas of transparent polyurethane, combined with the 3D mesh lining, create a fascinating play of shadows and transparencies that captures the eye with a surprising visual impact.
Relaxed look Overlay YO
Overlay YO distinguishes itself for its relaxed look, inspired by skateboarding jackets. With a casual line and an adjustable hood, this model stands out for its all-over print that recalls the legendary Ducati shield. The possibility of combining it with the Overlay P01 vest and the Overlay L01 sweatshirt makes it extremely versatile for different seasons and occasions.
Streetwear influences Overlay Y4T
Overlay Y4T is a more essential alternative, dominated by the four front pockets and slightly oversized volumes, creating an urban style with clear streetwear influences, completed by the adjustable hood. The modularity is naturally the same as the Overlay YO, as it can be combined with one or both internal layers.
Bomber Overlay YB
Overlay YB is the classic and timeless bomber jacket, revisited thanks to the use of the new and intriguing combination of transparent polyurethane and 3D mesh. The short and dry cut gives dynamism to the jacket, while the cuffs and lower edge in elastic knit retain heat inside. For different seasons and uses, however, the Overlay modular system is also found here, which with zip and toggles allows it to be joined to the P01 vest and the L01 sweatshirt.
For greater warmth Overlay L01
Overlay L01 stands out for its minimalist style, embellished with the Ducati shield on the chest. Made of softshell fabric, this sweatshirt offers thermal comfort and fit. Versatile and functional, it can be worn on its own for a casual and clean look or combined with other layers for protection on colder days.
Certified protections P01 protective vest
The base of the Overlay modular system is the P01 protective vest, the capsule collection's certified proposal for motorcycling use. Worn on its own, it is an extremely ventilated motorcycle jacket thanks to a 70% mesh surface combined with 30% anti-abrasion fabric. In addition to the shoulder and elbow protectors, the jacket is designed for a back protector. The look is discreet but distinctive, thanks to the Ducati branding on the chest and the red sleeves. The front zip and the toggles allow the P01 vest to be combined with any other item in the Overlay capsule.
