A Ducati Unica for Massimo Bottura: in the chef's dream garage the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak becomes Desert

The creative and value-based bond that has linked Ducati and world-famous chef Massimo Bottura for many years has led to the birth of a new motorcycle jewel, ready to further enrich the "Playground" of the owner of Osteria Francescana, a restaurant twice awarded first place in "The World's 50 Best Restaurants" ranking.

Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak Desert; this is the name of the work born from the union between the artistic vision of chef Bottura and the attitude of Ducati, constantly oriented towards attention to detail. The motorcycle belongs to the Ducati Unica customization programme: launched by the Bologna-based company in January 2022, this program allows Ducatisti to create the motorcycle of their dreams, interacting directly with the designers of the Centro Stile Ducati and accessing fine materials, exclusive finishes and special colors.

The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak Desert was designed from an aesthetic point of view with meticulous work on the paintwork that gives it an unmistakable look, as if the bike just came out from an adventure in the desert. This unique eye-catching aspect is obtained through the use of a particular type of "sand effect" paint that has been applied to different parts of the motorcycle, including the wings, the handguards, the mudguard and the rims. Other elements have also been redefined to make the Pikes Peak Desert even more elegant: the Alcantara seat recalls the main shades of the bike, just as fine work has been done on the brake calipers, the engine crankcase, the shock absorber spring and the exhaust, equipped with a special Akrapovič silencer made specifically for this model.

In this Ducati Unica version, the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak Desert adopts the handguards and handle of the Multistrada V4 RS and is embellished with some details dedicated to the chef's career, such as Massimo Bottura's iconic signature on the seat and the famous three “Michelin stars” that since 2011 have accompanied the culinary experience of Osteria Francescana, to which has been added the "Green Star", which rewards restaurants particularly committed to sustainable cuisine.

“There are motorbikes, and then there are Ducatis”. This is the thought of Bottura expressed in the chef's latest book entitled "Slow Food, Fast Cars", co-written with his wife Lara Gilmore. A phrase that contains the essence of a spontaneous and authentic relationship that has made Bottura a true ambassador of the Ducati brand over the years. A successful collaboration, driven by passion, which has now been enriched with a fascinating new chapter.
