HomeJust four years after its return to the MotoGP World Championship, Ducati achieved the extraordinary feat of winning both the Constructors' and Riders' titles.
In 2007, MotoGP regulations reduced the maximum engine capacity allowed to 800 cc and Ducati responded with a new version of its Desmosedici.
The new project was also matched by a new rider: the young Australian Casey Stoner joining Loris Capirossi to complete the official team riding the Desmosedici GP07.
In his first season with the Borgo Panigale manufacturer, Casey won ten races and scored another four podiums, racking up the points needed to clinch the 2007 Riders' title and give Ducati its first MotoGP Constructors' Championship.
