The lightest Panigale of all time (17kg less than the previous model) broke cover at the Sevilla Circuit in Spain for the world press launch with the gathered biking journalists eager to cast their judgement on the new 890cc V2 powered middleweight Superbike sensation.

Taking on the mantle of the previous popular V2 model and somehow outperforming it whilst having a lower power output shouldn’t be possible, should it? Turns out it is, in all aspects. This is thanks to a ground up redesign, focussed on embracing the new engine platform and redeveloping the chassis, exhaust repositioning, opting for a double-sided swing-arm, not to mention the enhanced electronics – all leading to a sublime handling experience.
