HomeThe Monster makes lightness one of its strengths. Each component is designed to weigh as little as possible, from the aluminium Front Frame, inspired by the Panigale V4, to the tail section directly connected to the engine. The result is an agile and compact bike, ideal for daily use and pure enjoyment.
Braking system
To offer the best possible braking, while maintaining good modulability and light, precise control. This was the goal of the Ducati engineers as they worked with Brembo to develop a specific system that sees the M4-32 radial monobloc calipers act on a pair of 320 mm discs by way of sintered pads, to ensure sports performance in wet and dry conditions.
Tyres and wheels
The wheels also contribute to the lightness of the new Monster. Created in lightweight alloy, they measure 3.50x17” and 5.50x17” and mount Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tyres, a 120/70 front and 180/55 rear, showcasing that Monster sports attitude in wet and dry conditions.
Steering angle
The new frame but also the careful positioning of components such as the radiator ensure significant improvement with respect to the previous generation of Monster. The steering angle rises to 36°, a good 7° more than before. As a result, the Monster is more agile than ever before in traffic, while making a U-turn is easier and more intuitive.
Engine
The Monster mounts the 937 cc Testastretta 11° L-shaped twin, with desmodromic timing and Euro 5 approval.
