Ducati scoop two MCN awards for Diavel 1260 S and Multistrada 950 S

Ducati has received the prestigious 2019 MCN award for the Diavel 1260 S and Multistrada 950 S.

The Diavel 1260 S picked up the award for the Best cruiser while the Multistrada 950 S topped the Best adventure sport category.

It is not the first time the Diavel has collected an MCN award, in 2011 the Diavel was named Machine of the Year. This second generation has remained faithful to the original that was launched at the end of 2010. This incredibly unique bike still encompasses the personality, design, performance and handling of the 2010 bike.

The Diavel 1260 has more assertive outlines, higher performance, is more fun on a variety of riding conditions with improved comfort for rider and passenger alike. The new Diavel still has the breath-taking acceleration of the original but now with the smooth low-rev power delivery from the Testastretta DVT 1262 engine.

MCN lavished praise on the bike commenting, “..for all its genuine ability the Ducati Diavle 1260 S succeeds as a cruiser simply on looks alone. It’s bold, brash and ballsy, gratuitous and garish- quite simply impossible to ignore and everything a good cruiser should be.”

The Multistrada 950 also saw a series of improvements with the 2019 model and for the first time the introduction of an S model. It was the S version that drew the plaudits from the judging panel for its cutting-edge technology – “The 950’s functions and features gel seamlessly” and also its handling which was described as “a nimble, responsive delight.”
