Pearson Delivers With Round Win

Despite a brand-new track surface, a modified track layout and windy conditions, Broc Pearson has delivered, backing up his first Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) race win at Phillip Island with both a race and round win at One Raceway over the weekend after racing to 1-3 results. Fast from the outset, the Queenslander was the most consistent rider on track aboard the DesmoSport Ducati Panigale V4 R, the only rider in the top two of all but one session heading into Sunday's two 20-lap races.

Ben Henry: "That was a special one for me, and it's been a long time coming. Broc's been doing an incredible job both on and off the bike, and I'm proud to be a part of his first race win last round and now round win this weekend. He's the fittest rider on the grid, motivated to not only win, but also learn, and is actively utilising every tool at his disposal to be the best rider, and that's exactly what he was this weekend. DesmoSport has been building to get back to this point for a long time and there's a lot of people to thank for not only working to get us here but believing in what we've been working to achieve and supporting us along the way. From Troy (Bayliss) to Troy Herfoss, from our industry partners to those unrelated to motorcycling, the whole team is working the best it ever has, and this comes back to you, so thank you. We have the best crew in the paddock and I'm just incredibly proud of DesmoSport Ducati."

Broc Pearson: "That felt really good. To back up my win in the wet last round with a win in the dry here and then the round win, that was pretty special. The team have been working as hard to give me the best possible chance to win and I feel like we've continued to build all season to get to this point. Charlie and Giulia, Ben and Ken, Troy (Bayliss) and Troy (Herfoss) have all been right behind me, and honestly, it's fun to be in the box with them on race weekend, even if they're only on the phone sometimes. We're closing the gap at the front of the championship and with three races at The Bend, there's plenty of opportunities for me to close the 10 points between myself and second in the championship."
