In 2016, the XDiavel S was awarded one of the most prestigious design awards in the world: the Red Dot Design Award, "Best of the Best" category.

A highly qualified jury made up of 40 internationally renowned experts evaluated all the products in competition and awarded the important title to the Ducati cruiser (in its S version), an acknowledgement confirming that Ducati motorcycles are not only synonymous with performance but also with style and innovation. "Such a singular motorcycle required a process that was just as unique. Extreme in its proportions, the XDiavel S was deliberately designed 'element by element'", commented Andrea Ferraresi. "The frame, short and modern, is immediately recognisable as the classic Ducati trellis. The teardrop tank strongly evokes the world of cruisers while maintaining the muscular and sculpted image of the Monster and the Diavel. The headlight is a modern reinterpretation of the one mounted on our naked bikes. And the same goes for the tail guard, silencer, seat. Many distinct elements that come together to form a harmonious and balanced whole.

A recognition like the Red Dot Award rewards Ducati's creativity and genius, as well as the courage to face new challenges and follow new pathways, typical of the latest generations of Ducati motorcycles".
