Art of creating myths

Centauro, a unique work of art combining myth and reality

Created by internationally renowned artist Paolo Troilo and based on the Ducati Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini, this work of art will be exhibited February 2-4 during the ART CITY event at Arte Fiera.
A motorcycle generated by a love of art.

Ducati’s love of art takes shape with the creation of a masterpiece, born at the hands of artist Paolo Troilo and based on the Ducati Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini. The artist was commissioned with creating an exclusive piece to complement the already customised Lamborghini Huracán EVO. An extraordinary and very personal item, it was conceived ad hoc for a customer who sought a unique car and bike pairing.

Centauro is inspired by the mythological creature that embodies wisdom and fearless folly. It is a combination of superhuman strength and rationality, evident in the bold lines of the Streetfighter V4.

With his distinct ability to paint using his fingers, internationally acclaimed artist Paolo Troilo adds a very personal and ancestral touch to this unique creation, capturing the essence of the riding experience.

    “Centauro comes from imagining what it might feel like to merge, as human beings, with a machine that can augment our abilities. […] And so Centauro is the translation of this feeling – once you climb aboard a Ducati like this, you no longer perceive the distance between man and machine, but become as one."

Art of creating myths: two unique works on show at Art City

The partnership with Arte Fiera, the prestigious modern art exhibition that celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2024, underscores the deep connection between artistic creativity and the philosophy that has always guided the Borgo Panigale manufacturer: the tireless pursuit of that magical balance between technology and beauty.

During this special edition of Arte Fiera, the two works by Paolo Troilo, “Centauro” and “Minotauro”, will be exhibited in Galleria Cavour on 1-5 February as part of the ART CITY satellite event.

As Arte Fiera celebrates its 50th anniversary, Ducati lends its support to this artistic adventure, backing the “Percorsi” exhibition project and establishing the “Premio Officina Arte Ducati” prize.
