Desmo450 MX

The Development

A bike developed on the racetrack, in line with Ducati tradition.

The Desmo450 MX stems from a development pathway that transfers Ducati know-how gained in international racing, combined with intense research work and the support of sector professionals of the calibre of Tony Cairoli. The passion and expertise that Ducati has in designing lightweight and reliable bikes, high-performance desmo engines and innovative electronics strategies converges on a new kind of racetrack.

New challenges, same racing spirit.

Development on the racetrack was a significant gamble for Ducati, which only highlights its commitment to breaking new ground. Keen to harness its passion and racing experience, professional off-road racing presented Ducati with the opportunity to expand into a world not yet explored, supported by professionals and countless enthusiasts in Borgo Panigale.

The motocross pathway is made up of three key elements: to compete in races with convincing results, to develop a high-performance bike for amateurs and pro riders alike, and to build a dedicated sales and support network, to offer fans the very best experience.

A bike that won a national MX title in its debut year.

An immediate winner: riding the Desmo450 MX in what was the bike’s debut season, Alessandro Lupino won the 2024 Italian MX1 Championship. A pathway that begins on the racetrack before extending to all the fans, with a bike that is competitive, fast and ready to write its own chapter in the MX history books. Following this experience in the national championship, the Aruba Factory MX Team made its debut in the 2025 MXGP World Championship, where it achieved two holeshots in its first races.
