The Ducati 916 was a winning bike not only in terms of looks, but also in terms of performance. This iconic bike laid the foundations for the most victorious family in Ducati's Superbike history, dominating competition with a perfect balance of style and speed.

The 916 is undoubtedly a true masterpiece of design, but it is also the perfect synthesis of the three values that still distinguish the brand today. And this is precisely what the dedicated installation aims to emphasise, which, recalling the double helix of DNA, becomes the physical representation of Style, Sophistication and Performance, the genetic traits of Ducati motorbikes.

Regarded by many as a kind of sculptor who models his own motorcycles to perfection, Tamburini designs the 916 following exactly the same philosophy.

Each time the prototype evolves, instead of testing it in a wind tunnel, Tamburini takes the bike and rides the roads between San Marino and Rimini during rainy days. In this way, in fact, he can observe the tracks left by water drops along the superstructures, evaluating the aerodynamic behavior of each element and obtaining the information needed to optimize its design.

And that is how, step by step, the masterpiece takes shape.
